Belarusian Rubel Weakens Against Key Currencies

The Belarusian rubel has weakened against several major currencies, including the US dollar and the euro. According to data from the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE), on September 8, the rubel was trading at 3.072 against the US dollar.

This represents a depreciation of 1.17 percent against the dollar over the past week, as well as a loss of 4.72 percent in the first eight months of 2026.

The rubel has also dropped to 3.5685 per euro and to 4.6048 per 10 yuan, but managed to climb to 3.5698 per 100 Russian rubles. This mixed performance may be a cause for concern for investors looking at the Belarusian currency.
