Billionaires Get Luxury Bunkers in Swiss Alps
A luxury underground bunker is being built in the Swiss Alps by Thomas Gasser's company, Brünig Mega Safe. The complex will feature 20 private vaults located over 100 meters below the surface, surrounded by solid rock.
The natural Alpine rock formation provides an additional layer of protection against intruders, with security comparable to that of the Swiss National Bank. Each underground space is being sold on a 99-year lease for nearly $1.23 million, starting at 1 million Swiss francs.
Buyers will not only acquire secure storage but also legally registered real estate, which can be used as collateral if needed. The project has received mixed reactions from local residents, with some questioning the need for a luxury bunker in the village of Lungern.
