BoE Holds Interest Rates Steady Amid Tightening Bias

The Bank of England (BoE) is expected to hold its interest rate steady at 3.75% on Thursday, according to market expectations.

A 7-2 vote split with Pill and Green supporting a rate hike is predicted, but there's also a possibility of a 6-3 vote split if Mann joins them.

This would not be a surprise, as Mann recently expressed her views on the importance of looser financial conditions. Since then, market expectations have priced in a 50% probability of an increase in September.

The BoE's statement is expected to maintain its non-committal tightening bias, saying it stands ready to act if necessary to keep inflation at the target rate of 2% in the medium term.
