BOE Keeps Interest Rates Unchanged Amid Global Tensions
Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey spoke at a news conference in London following the central bank's decision to keep interest rates unchanged at 3.75% in July.
The move was aimed at balancing the threat from resurgent US-Iran tensions against signs that domestic price pressures are easing more quickly than predicted.
According to Bailey, the BOE will 'monitor the situation carefully and stand ready to adjust our stance as the evidence and our judgements on the outlook evolve.'
