BoE Set to Hold Rates as Inflation Impact Seen as Modest

A Reuters poll conducted between August 13 and 18 found that nearly 90% of economists, or 56 of 64, expect the Bank of England (BoE) to keep interest rates unchanged at 3.75% through the end of 2026.

This marks an increase from last month's poll, where 83% of respondents expected no change in interest rates.

Economists cited that the inflationary impact of higher oil prices remains modest despite inflation staying above the 2% target.
