The Bank of Japan (BOJ) has decided to keep its benchmark interest rate unchanged at around 1.0 percent, following a two-day policy meeting.

This decision comes after the BOJ raised its key interest rate to a 31-year high in the previous month.

In its latest quarterly economic outlook report, the central bank revised up its growth forecast for the current fiscal year, predicting a 0.6 percent expansion compared to 0.5 percent previously.
