BOJ Monetary Base Stable Amid NZ Inflation Surge
The Bank of Japan's monetary base in August 2026 remained stable.
Inflation in New Zealand increased to 4.1 percent in the June quarter due to higher fuel prices caused by the Middle East conflict.
However, core inflation and expected wage growth remain consistent with a return to the 1-3 percent target band by mid-2027 and the 2 percent target midpoint later next year.
