Bowman Enters Ontario Liberal Leadership Race with Goal of Building Competitive Party
Ontario Liberal caucus member Stephanie Bowman has joined the party's leadership race. She says she wants to build a competitive party across the province.
Bowman, who represents Don Valley West in the legislature, previously worked in finance and served on the Bank of Canada's board.
She had been campaign co-chair for fellow caucus member Rob Cerjanec until he dropped out of the race last month. Bowman is now one of several candidates vying to become leader by November 21.
Other caucus members in the running include Lee Fairclough, who represents Etobicoke-Lakeshore. Former federal cabinet minister Navdeep Bains, housing advocate Eric Lombardi, and former political staffer Dylan Marando are also contenders.
