Browne stated that America has shaped the world economy for 250 years, and the next 250 years will begin with what they do today. The Trump administration is focused on a strong economy locally and globally.
The selection of Asheville as the host city was a nod to its 'comeback' story after Hurricane Helene brought Western North Carolina close to ruin. Browne praised the public-private partnerships in the area, which have fueled growth and innovation.
Regarding Canada's decision, Browne said it needs America more than America needs Canada. Walking away from the deal was a 'fatal flaw.' She emphasized that President Trump wanted to bring prosperity not just to Americans but also provide a fair opportunity for Canadians.
