Bulgaria's Eurozone Entry Boosts Small Businesses with Higher Pay
Bulgarian entrepreneur Valentin Radoykov credits the country's entry into the eurozone for boosting his business, VAIANA EOOD. He claims that his partners from Germany and Italy have been paying him 30% more since the switch to the single currency.
Radoykov, who has worked in transport, logistics, and deliveries since 1992, notes that the adoption of the euro has eliminated exchange-rate costs and allowed Bulgarian companies to negotiate prices on par with their European competitors.
In fact, Radoykov's company alone lost around 10,000 euros due to currency conversion between 2007 and 2025. He believes that this money could have been invested in new vehicles for his business.
