Bulgaria's Inflation Slows to 4.4%, Still Among EU's Highest
Bulgaria's inflation slowed to 4.4% in July, but still remains one of the highest rates in the European Union.
This is according to final data from Eurostat, which shows that consumer prices rose by 0.6% in a single month and increased year-on-year above earlier estimates.
Bulgaria was among countries with the strongest price growth, along with Cyprus, while Romania recorded the highest inflation rate at 8.2%.
In contrast, Sweden saw its consumer prices increase by just 0.3% year-on-year, making it one of the lowest rates in the EU.
