Business Leaders Push Ottawa for Quicker Implementation of Economic Agenda
A recent survey conducted by KPMG reveals that Canadian business leaders are eager for the federal government to implement its economic agenda quickly, prioritizing the removal of red tape and accelerating major project spending.
The survey found that half of businesses want Ottawa to fast-track a new West Coast oil pipeline, while 47% say that accelerated major project spending would be beneficial. Additionally, 43% believe that tax reforms could help boost the economy.
Lachlan Wolfers, national leader at KPMG Law, stated in a news release that businesses accept the need for appropriate safeguards but want faster and more predictable processes to accelerate project delivery and enable investment decisions.
