CAC 40 Rallies 0.92% as Schneider Electric Powers Paris Stock Rebound
Paris stocks surged on Thursday, July 30, 2026, as the CAC 40 index rose 0.92% to close above 8,400 points.
The rally followed a decline of 0.60% on Wednesday, which was driven by global market caution ahead of the US Federal Reserve's interest rate decision and semiconductor-related sell-offs across Europe and Asia.
Schneider Electric led the advance with a 10.83% gain to $284.60 after reporting record first-half performance and increased sales and profit guidance due to robust demand for data-center power and cooling equipment.
Chipmaker STMicroelectronics rebounded by 6.36%, while Aeroports de Paris rose 9.63%. In contrast, Sanofi fell 8.95% on quarterly disclosures, and Euroapi plummeted over 22% to a record low of $0.98.
