CAD Sticks to Gains vs Soft USD Amid Escalating US-Iran Tensions
The Canadian Dollar (CAD) has maintained its gains against the US Dollar (USD), despite some pullback from an over two-week high around 1.3910-1.3915 earlier this Monday.
This is largely due to the escalation of tensions between the US and Iran, which has triggered a fresh leg up in crude oil prices, underpinning the commodity-linked Loonie.
The USD, on the other hand, attracts some sellers and erodes part of its strong move up to a two-week high last Friday.
