Canada Economy Grows 0.8% Led by Exports
Canada's economy grew 0.8% in the second quarter, surpassing the previous quarter's revised 0.1% gain.
This growth was driven by a 3.6% increase in exports, with passenger cars and light trucks leading the way at a 27% jump.
Residential investment also rebounded after two consecutive quarterly declines, rising 2.5% due to increased ownership transfer costs and new construction.
