Canada Expands Regulated XRP Exposure into US Markets
Canadian XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have secured US regulatory approval for trading in American markets. Options tied to two Canadian ETFs, Evolve XRP ETF and Purpose XRP ETF, are now registered under Form S-20, allowing U.S. investors to trade XRP volatility without direct exposure.
The registration places XRP-linked derivatives alongside products connected to Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, marking a significant expansion of regulated crypto exposure for US investors. This move underscores Canada's proactive approach to regulating XRP products, which has created a compliant product structure that can be exported south of the border.
National Bank of Canada recently disclosed a stake in the Bitwise XRP ETF through regulatory filings, while Bank of Montreal revealed investments in XRP-based products as part of its broader portfolio diversification strategy. These traditionally conservative institutions prefer exchange-traded structures due to their compliance and reporting requirements.
