Canada Investment Summit Secures Record $500 Billion in New Commitments
The first Canada Investment Summit brought together investors from nearly 30 countries to discuss potential investments in Canada's economy. The summit, hosted by Prime Minister Mark Carney, aimed to leverage Canada's strengths and catalyze $1 trillion of new investment.
The event attracted investors managing more than $100 trillion in assets, who saw Canada as a prime destination for investment due to its economic strength and ambition. As a result of the summit, nearly $500 billion in new investment commitments were made to Canada.
Canada's leading pension funds, insurers, and institutional investors committed over $100 billion in new capital to Canadian assets. Key institutions such as CPP Investments, PSP Investments, and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan pledged significant investments in critical infrastructure and strategic industries across Canada.
