Canada Must Rethink Infrastructure Planning for Trillion-Dollar Opportunity
A new report by PwC, called Mobilizing Canada's US $4.7T Infrastructure Opportunity, highlights the need for Canada to rethink its approach to infrastructure planning and delivery.
The report notes that while Canada is poised to invest trillions of dollars in infrastructure over the next quarter century, simply increasing spending will not be enough to strengthen the country's economy and improve productivity.
PwC argues that Canada must treat infrastructure as interconnected systems rather than standalone projects, and break down traditional silos between different sectors such as energy, defence, and digital development.
