Canada Surpasses US Growth Rate with 3.3% Annualized GDP Increase
Canada's economy has recorded its fastest growth in three years, outpacing its G7 peers and even surpassing that of the United States. According to Statistics Canada, the country's GDP is growing at an annualized rate of 3.3%, a significant increase from previous years.
This growth is also reflected in other key economic indicators, with business investment up by 8.9% and exports rising by 15.1%. Meanwhile, GDP per capita has increased by 3.9%.
Federal Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne celebrated the news, stating that 'Canada's economy is growing, and our plan is working.' He highlighted the country's strong performance in comparison to other G7 nations.
