Canada, UAE Ink Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement

Canada and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have concluded negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. The agreement is said to be the fastest such deal ever negotiated between the two countries.

The Canada-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement reflects the focus, resolution, and commitment both nations bring to their bilateral relationship, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office.

Canada's largest export market in the Middle East is now the UAE, with two-way trade between the countries growing at an annual rate of 10%. The agreement will lower tariffs, create new opportunities for Canadian workers, and provide Canadian businesses with greater access to the UAE's $700 billion economy.
