Canada Unveils New $20 Banknote Featuring King Charles III

According to Bank of Canada Governor Macklem, the new bill is 'striking, symbolic and secure.' He highlighted the advanced security features that have been incorporated into the note, saying it combines images that reflect Canada's beauty and history with its secure and dynamic features.
The new $20 banknote will begin entering circulation in late February 2027. This marks a significant update to the Canadian currency, one that aims to evoke pride and confidence in Canada's banknotes.
