Canada Unveils New $20 Bill Featuring King Charles III and Vimy Ridge Memorial

The Bank of Canada has unveiled its new $20 bill, featuring King Charles III on the front and an illustration of the Vimy Ridge Memorial on the back.

This is the first time a new monarch has appeared on a Canadian bank note since 1954, when Elizabeth II replaced her father, George VI.

The design requirements and security measures required by the Bank of Canada took longer to implement than expected, but the new bill will enter general circulation in February 2027.
