Canada's Growing Confidence Defies Trump's Bluster
Donald Trump's recent attacks on Canada have been met with a collective shrug from Canadians, who seem to be more confident in their nation's economy and institutions than Americans.
Americans are increasingly disillusioned with their democracy, with only 16% considering their economic status good or excellent. Meanwhile, one-third of Canadians rate their economy as good or excellent, double the approval rating Americans give theirs.
The Iran war is a prime example of this disconnection, with only 29% of Americans supporting Trump's war of choice. The rest are not shy about letting their president know they are not thrilled with his performance.
