Canada's Job Boom Fuels Crypto Hopes Amid US Economic Slowdown
Canada's economy has outpaced America's in July, adding 75,000 jobs against expectations of just 15,000. The unemployment rate fell to a two-year low of 6.4%, while the US lost 23,000 positions.
The strong hiring numbers in Canada have been driven by sectors such as finance, insurance, and real estate, which added 18,000 jobs. Professional, scientific, and technical services also contributed significantly with an additional 17,000 positions.
This trend is significant for the Canadian crypto industry, which has already seen a head start in terms of regulation and adoption. The Toronto Stock Exchange listed the world's first spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) in February 2021, giving Canada a lead over the US in this area.
