Canada's July CPI Growth Driven by Soaring Gasoline Prices
Canada's Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 3.0% year-over-year in July, compared to June's 2.8% increase.
Gasoline prices led the charge, increasing by 25.7% from last year and contributing significantly to overall CPI growth.
However, core inflation measures, which exclude food and energy costs, grew at a more modest rate of 1.9%, up from 1.8% in June.
