Canada's Top Dividend Growers Raise Payouts Again
Two Canadian companies have raised their dividend payouts once again, sending a positive signal to investors. National Bank of Canada and Thomson Reuters are among those that have announced higher quarterly dividends.
National Bank's shares have gained 60% over the last year and currently trade at $230.99 apiece, giving the bank a market capitalization of about $88.7 billion. Its net income rose 38% year-over-year to about $1.2 billion in the second quarter of its fiscal 2026.
Thomson Reuters, on the other hand, has extended its dividend-growth streak to beyond three decades with a 10% annualized increase. The company's shares currently trade at $145.55 per share and have fallen 20% year-to-date due to market weakness.
Both companies' strong financials and rising earnings make them attractive choices for long-term income investors, despite the volatility in the market.
