Canada's Top Industrial Leaders Under 40 Named by ReNew Canada Magazine
The prestigious ReNew Canada Magazine has announced its annual list of 40 Under 40 Industrial Leaders for 2026. This year's winners represent the top talent driving Canada's economy forward, with a focus on industries such as construction, engineering, manufacturing, sustainability, finance, technology, development, and more.
The awards program recognizes up-and-coming leaders under 40 years of age who are making significant contributions to the Canadian economy. The winners were selected by a panel of judges that included Kalpna Solanki, Derek Bunting, Mike Maierle, and Andrew Hansen.
Aleksi Makila, VP & Division Manager at Chandos Construction, is one of this year's honourees. Since joining the firm in 2014, he has climbed the ranks to become a powerhouse at one of Canada's most sophisticated builders. He was instrumental in launching Chandos' civil and municipal infrastructure services in 2016.
Jennifer Johnston, Manager of Infrastructure Delivery at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, is another winner. She oversees the planning, design, and construction of vital port infrastructure, expertly navigating complex projects that involve heavy civil engineering, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
