The Canadian business world is set for a busy week ahead, with several key events scheduled to take place.

The Bank of Canada will publish a summary of its monetary policy deliberations on Wednesday, following its interest rate decision earlier this month. The central bank held its policy rate at 2.25 per cent, citing growth picking up and inflation projected to ease gradually from its recent spike.

On the same day, Canadian Pacific Kansas City will release its second-quarter financial and operating results, which may provide insight into the railway's performance in transporting Canadian grain and grain products. In June, CPKC set a new monthly record for moving 2.8 million metric tonnes of these goods.

Later this week, several major companies will report their second-quarter results, including Loblaw Cos. Ltd., Enbridge Inc., and Statistics Canada's release of GDP figures by industry. The latter is expected to provide more information on the country's economic growth in May and June.
