Canadian CPI on Tap as Housing Starts Decline
The Canadian Consumer Price Index (CPI) is set to be released this week, following a 2.8% year-over-year increase in June.
This comes on the heels of a 3.2% gain in May, and a 0.1% decline on a seasonally adjusted monthly basis in June.
In other economic news, Canada's housing starts declined 6% from the previous month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 239,000 units in June, falling short of market expectations of 258,000 units.
