Canadian Dollar Bounces Back from Oversold Conditions

The Canadian dollar has seen a strong bounce in recent days after months of decline. This bounce comes after USD/CAD, which tracks the price of one US dollar against the Canadian dollar, reached oversold conditions on its daily chart for the first time since January.

This sudden move upward is attributed to the pair's sell-off over the past month and a half, which was triggered by a breakdown at 1.4150 support in mid-July. The decline was further exacerbated by trade restrictions between the U.S. and Canada, with the Canadian dollar being severely impacted by these developments.

However, analysts caution that it is still too early to determine whether this rally will be sustained or merely a short squeeze. To confirm topside continuation potential, USD/CAD needs to see bull activity at a higher-low on its four-hour chart, specifically targeting prior price action points of interest at 1.3795, 1.3756, and 1.3732.
