Canadian Economic Confidence Reaches Highest Level in Over Five Years
A significant shift in Canadian economic confidence has been observed, according to the latest Business Monitor report from Modus Research Inc. The survey shows that economic confidence is at its highest level in over five years, with a notable improvement since the winter.
The results indicate a large upswing in positive sentiment and a downswing in negative ratings. Businesses are now in neutral territory despite the flurry of threats and tariffs leveled from the US over the past few years.
Notably, this result is better than the economic confidence of the Canadian public, measured concurrently with this survey. Negative ratings on the economy have plummeted from 62% to 40%, while positive ratings have increased, resulting in a neutral score overall.
