A recent survey by Bloomberg-Nanos shows that Canadians have become more optimistic about their economy in recent weeks, despite ongoing trade tensions with the US.

The Canadian Confidence Index recorded 52.55 points during the week ending July 24, compared to 46.31 points at the beginning of April, its lowest level this year.

This improvement reflects a decrease in concerns about weak growth and rising energy prices.

The percentage of participants expecting the economy to deteriorate over the next six months dropped to 34.4%, the lowest level since November 2024.
