Canadian Trade Surplus Widens to $3.9 Billion in June

Canada's merchandise exports saw a slight increase of 0.4% in June compared to the previous month, while imports edged up by 0.2%. As a result, Canada's merchandise trade surplus widened from $3.7 billion in May to $3.9 billion in June.

This marks the fourth consecutive monthly trade surplus for Canada.

A significant portion of import and export transactions are conducted in US dollars and must be converted to Canadian dollars for statistical purposes.
