Canola Prices Plummet with Strengthening Loonie
ICE canola futures were lower on Friday morning as the Canadian dollar strengthened. The loonie reached 72.73 U.S. cents after Canada and the United States neared a new deal to avoid tariffs.
Crude oil prices remained steady, but relatively high, following comments from US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent that Washington would impose 'the toughest sanctions in history' against Iran.
Other commodities saw price movements: Chicago soyoil and Malaysian palm oil were higher, while European rapeseed was lower.
