Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is hosting an investment summit in Toronto to attract foreign investors and secure funding for over 160 projects. The two-day event, which began on September 14, 2026, aims to match global investors with Canadian companies, particularly in the tech and infrastructure sectors.

The projects listed include data centers, a photonic quantum computer, and a high-speed transportation pod between Calgary and Edmonton. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink and Blackstone President Jon Gray are among the confirmed attendees, along with Singapore's Temasek CEO Dilhan Pillay and Dutch pension fund APG Groep's CEO Annette Mosman.

Carney has pledged to attract C$1 trillion in investments over the next five years by cutting red tape and developing mining, energy, technology, and infrastructure projects. The summit comes as Canada seeks to diversify its economy amidst a trade war with the US.
