Carney's Lavish Spending Doubles Deficit, Hurts Canadians

Mark Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada, has been criticized for his lavish spending on international trips. According to newly released invoices, three trips to Europe last year cost taxpayers $195,400 in in-flight catering alone.

One trip to Rome in May 2024 cost a staggering $93,780, more than double what his predecessor spent in the same year. This amount is equivalent to half a decade of groceries for a family of four.

During his first year in office, Carney billed taxpayers $524,000 on airplane food alone. However, none of these trips resulted in any meaningful agreements or results.

In contrast, Canadians are struggling with rising grocery prices, which have outpaced overall inflation for every month Carney has been Prime Minister. The latest inflation data shows that prices at the grocery store continued rising 3.8 per cent year-over-year, nearly double the inflation target.
