China-Linked Hackers Target US Government Institutions in Widespread Cyberattack
US authorities have disrupted a large-scale cyberattack campaign launched by China. The targets included sensitive government institutions such as the US Department of Justice, NASA, and the Federal Reserve.
The hacking platforms QScan and QTRouter were used in the campaign, and domain names associated with them were seized by authorities.
The Chinese Embassy in Washington responded to the news, stating that China 'resolutely opposes all forms of cyberattacks' but accused the US of using cybersecurity as a means to discredit or slander China.
