China's Foreign Exchange Reserves Climb 0.57% in August
China's foreign exchange reserves saw a modest increase in August, reaching $3.4383 trillion at the end of the month. This represents a gain of $19.5 billion or 0.57% compared to July.
The State Administration of Foreign Exchange attributed this growth to a combination of currency translation and asset price changes.
Economist Wen Bin from China Minsheng Bank weighed in on the data, stating that the decline of the US dollar index by 0.5% to 99.4 contributed positively to the valuation of China's foreign exchange reserves.
