CIBC Boosts Canadian Utilities Price Target to C$55.00 Amid Optimism
Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) has raised its price target for Canadian Utilities (TSE:CU) to C$55.00, citing a potential upside from its current stock price. This increase reflects the bank's growing optimism about the company's future prospects.
The move by CIBC is just one example of several recent upgrades to Canadian Utilities' price target. Royal Bank Of Canada (RBC), TD, National Bank Financial, and Scotiabank have also raised their targets in recent months. However, analysts at these banks still maintain a 'sector perform' rating for the company.
Canadian Utilities has seen its stock price rise to C$56.47 after trading up C$1.53 on Thursday. This increase comes on top of the company's already robust financial performance, which includes earnings per share (EPS) of C$0.51 and revenue of C$914.00 million in its most recent quarterly report.
Despite these positive developments, analysts are still cautious about Canadian Utilities' stock price, citing a potential downside of 2.60% from the current level. However, with several major banks now predicting higher earnings for the company, investors may be eager to take a closer look at this sector performer.
