Circa's 'At Par' Promotion Lures Record Number of Canadians to Downtown Las Vegas
Derek Stevens, owner of Circa Resort & Casino, announced that his 'At Par' promotion drew over 120,000 Canadian visitors to his three downtown Las Vegas properties this summer. The promotion, which ran from late January through August 31, treated Canadian dollars as US dollars at Circa, the D Las Vegas, and Golden Gate.
The offer generated more than $20 million in slot coin-in and produced over 8,000 hotel room nights, double what the three properties typically see. This marks one of downtown Las Vegas's strongest tourism rebounds from a single market this year.
Stevens launched the promotion amid a sharp drop in Canadian visitation to Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority estimated a 24% decline in Canadian visitors from January through November last year due to rising US-Canada trade tensions.
