Cloud Introduces Permanent Ban on Central Bank Digital Currencies

Congressman Michael Cloud has introduced the Permanent CBDC Ban Act, legislation aimed at permanently prohibiting the Federal Reserve from issuing or creating a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).

A CBDC would expose Americans to unconstitutional financial surveillance and grant the Federal Reserve unchecked power over individual finances.

The bill is a direct response to the 21st Century Road to Housing Act, which temporarily restricted the Federal Reserve from issuing a CBDC until December 31, 2030. The Permanent CBDC Ban Act would strike that expiration date and make the ban permanent.
