Copper Surges on Falling Yields, Trade Tensions Boost CAD
Copper prices have risen by 0.69% as US yields fall, while the USD/CAD exchange rate has rallied on growing trade tensions.
The decline in US yields is contributing to a risk-on market sentiment, which may benefit copper and other commodities.
The 10-year yield has retreated from the 4.700% zone, remaining above both the 50-day and 200-day exponential moving averages (EMAs) with support near 4.450%, according to data on TradingView.
