Croatia's Wealth Surges 29% in Five Years
Croatia has seen significant growth in personal wealth over the past five years, according to a report from Swiss banking giant UBS. The country recorded the third-fastest growth in personal wealth globally between 2020 and 2025, with an inflation-adjusted increase of 29%.
This puts Croatia ahead of some of its richer counterparts, including Norway, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates. Only South Korea topped the global ranking with a staggering 55% increase, followed closely by Russia at 37%.
The figures are based on a broader view of personal wealth, including financial assets and property, while subtracting debts. The inflation-adjusted wealth of the average adult Croatian increased significantly over the five-year period.
Croatia's adoption of the euro in 2023 contributed to its economic growth, which was also boosted by tourism. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the country's economy has shown remarkable resilience.
