Crypto Buying Boosted by Showing Past Returns, Fed Study Finds
A study by the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland found that showing individuals Bitcoin's past returns encourages them to buy more cryptocurrency.
The research also discovered that crypto holders tend to be younger, male, and more optimistic about returns than non-holders. They view cryptocurrencies as safer than those who do not hold them.
Furthermore, the study revealed that Bitcoin price changes influence the spending habits of crypto holders on durable goods such as appliances and cars. When prices rise, they increase their spending, but when prices fall, they cut back.
