Cuban Informal Currency Market Sees Stability, MLC Rises
The informal currency market in Cuba has shown stability for the US dollar and euro, but the Freely Convertible Currency (MLC) experienced a slight increase. The dollar remains at 665 Cuban pesos, while the euro continues at 760 pesos.
However, the MLC rose to 457 pesos from its previous value of 450, marking an increase of 6.5 pesos or 1.4%. This comes after several days in which the dollar and especially the euro had lost ground.
The weekly decline for the dollar was 7.5 pesos (1.1%), while the euro experienced a more significant drop of 23.5 pesos (3%). The MLC, on the other hand, saw an increase of 10.5 pesos over the same period.
