Cuban Informal Currency Market Sees Stable Dollar and Rising Euro
The informal currency market in Cuba remained relatively stable this Saturday, September 5. The US dollar ended the day at 683 Cuban pesos (CUP), the same value it had at the close of the previous session.
However, when looking at a weekly comparison, the dollar has gained 7.5 pesos compared to seven days ago, representing a rise of 1.1% in the last week.
The euro, on the other hand, closed higher this Saturday, standing at 777 CUP, two pesos more than the previous day.
Despite the limited data available for the MLC, its indicative value is 441 CUP, a notable decline of 4.5% compared to the previous day.
