Cuba's Informal Currency Market Closes Steady with Dollar Unchanged
The informal currency market in Cuba wrapped up on Saturday, August 8, with relatively steady prices.
The U.S. dollar remained unchanged at 673 Cuban pesos (CUP), maintaining its rate from the start of the day, the previous session, and one week ago.
The euro lost some ground compared to the previous day, closing at 781 CUP, down 2.5 pesos from 783 CUP on Friday.
The MLC saw a slight uptick, trading around 461 CUP by the end of the day, although its rate is considered indicative due to low transaction volume.
