Cuba's Informal Currency Market Ends Session Unchanged
The informal currency market in Cuba has closed its session on Thursday, August 6, without any surprises. The US dollar ended the day at 673 Cuban pesos (CUP), remaining unchanged from yesterday and a week ago.
The euro also concluded the session without changes compared to the previous one, trading at 785 CUP, although it has accumulated an upward trend in the monthly balance. Over the last 30 days, the dollar has fluctuated between a minimum of 655 and a maximum of 675 pesos.
The MLC, with limited data available and indicative value, is around 449 CUP, slightly below today's opening. This limited usage restricts its circulation compared to cash currencies.
