Cuba's Informal Currency Market Remains Stable Amid Economic Pressures
The informal currency market in Cuba remains stable on Thursday, August 13. The U.S. dollar is quoted at 665 Cuban pesos (CUP) with a purchase price of 660 CUP and a selling price of 670 CUP. This is unchanged from the previous day.
The euro also trades at 760 CUP with a buying range at 750 CUP and selling at 770 CUP, identical to the exchange rate recorded in the previous session.
The Cuban peso (CUP) equivalent of the MLC has increased by 9.5 pesos compared to the previous day (+2.2%), but this figure is considered indicative due to limited data and a low volume of transactions supporting the exchange rate.
