Cuba's Informal Currency Market Sees Dollar Stability and Euro Decline
The informal currency market in Cuba is active again, and the U.S. dollar remains stable at 673 Cuban pesos (CUP) as of August 4, 2026.
The euro has dipped slightly to 784 CUP, down from 787 CUP yesterday, but still holds a strong position in the parallel market.
The MLC, a digital currency used mainly for state-owned store transactions, saw a minor increase to 482 CUP today, although its rate is considered indicative due to limited transaction volume.
